we are the champions...

YEAH!! I love this feeling. I love knowing that the players you cheer for every Saturday in the fall finally are bringing home a championship. What a great way to end a season!!
Black History Month is Feburary, but it has already kicked off at school. Tuesday, the Beta Club sponsors held auditions for a play. I can't believe all the talent the 5th and 6th graders had. I wish I had a way to really show off their talent. There will be more on the play...
Since I was off of school yesterday for a snow day, where it didn't snow at all, I had the grand opportunity of hanging out with my friends!! YAY!! Jessica and Paul joined me in Birmingham for a great lunch, little shopping, and preparing for the big game. We tuned into ESPN at 3:30 and that's when the fun began. Calla joined us later for a great night of football and food...but at 7:30 this morning, I was hating myself for the late night.
School was delayed 2 hours this morning. I am thinking school should start at 9:35 every day. I would be a much happier person if it did. :) When I got to school this morning, it was snowing more than it did all day yesterday. How does that happen?! After school, I was the lucky one who had the priviledge of standing outside in the 20 degree weather for 30 minutes to call the names of students who parents were in car line. Man, I love being the new teacher.
