Here are some of the changes I am most happy about.
1. We had a Christmas party. A real one. Where kids brought in food and stuff and parents were invited.
2. We have an assisant principal that thinks our discipline process is rediculous and wants to change it. And guess who's helping? Yours truly. I am SO excited.
3. We have a PTA!!!! And we have PTA meetings where parents actually show up!
4. There were 50 people at our work Christmas party.
5. Our data meetings are purposeful and we plan lessons together!!
So as you can tell, I've been a busy 3rd grade teacher.
And even more exciting things are happening that aren't school related. One of my best friends is getting MARRIED!! Yes, you read it. The first one of the six. And I couldn't be happier to stand by her side. :)
Kate is home from South Africa. She is going to continue working for Crusade, but she'll be in the United States. Thank goodness! Another year without her would be too difficult to imagine.
My family has started some new traditions this year. We have the first annual Pumpkin carving at my house in October. My fabulous sister in law is quite the carver and she taught us how it's really done. We also had the 2nd annual McCormack/Perry birthday party in December at my house. I really love my family coming to me (even though I work like crazy and am extremely nervous the whole time). As you can tell, Christmas break was much needed.
