Some things happen and we never know why. This is one of those things. As most of you know, my daddy died last Wednesday afternoon. I can't believe it's almost been a week. Time really flies. God has given me a lot of strength and I am doing okay. I'll talk about it more as I can. Just know that prayers are needed and appreciated. :)
On a happy note-- I have the best friends in the world!! Thank you so much for coming home and being with me. You have no idea how much I needed that. I was also able to share much needed time with my brother. You can never have enough of that!! :) When I returned to school, the special ed girls made me a HUGE basket...a survival kit.
When I returned back to school yesterday, all my kids were so excited to see me. I didn't have classes yesterday so I could catch up on all my paper work. I had a boy ask if he could just come for a visit. :) I am glad they missed me. Today, all the kids were asking about my dad. I had one sweet boy say, "Miss McCormack, I heard about your daddy. I am sorry that happened. I pray for you." I just wanted to break down. How could this boy, who gives me so much trouble, know to say that?! I thanked God for him and his parents.
The black history program is only a few short weeks away...and we have a long way to go. I love seeing these kids use their talents, but I hate staying after school til 5. I am exhausted when I get home and Millie misses me a lot. I can't wait to see the program put together. I know these kids are going to do great.
An update on my masters: I am not starting it this summer. A professor who was teaching this summer is very sick and will not be able to teach. The university has put the program on hold. So this summer I will be playing. If you hear of a job you think I'd like, let me know. :)
Thank you for reading my blog. I am going to do better about updating it. I promise. This verse is helping me right now. I hope it helps you too!! Psalm 46:10-- "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted on the earth."
