Mr. President

Although many may not agree, and I certainly don't know too much about politics, I am thankful for our President.
On Friday morning, I woke up, turned on the news and was ready to see the disastered Tuscaloosa one more time. But instead, I learned that our President of the United States would be landing in Air Force One to assess the damage and talk with the Govenor and Mayor of Tuscaloosa. What a symbol of hope!! He wasn't just talking with the men, he was walking around parts of Tuscaloosa and meeting with people who had lost everything. Mr. President didn't just fly over and wave. He rolled his sleeves up and was a real person for an hour.
Last night I received a phone call to turn on the news. And I froze. Did I want to see what had happened?! I didn't know if I could handle much more grief. The President of the United States proudfully announced that Osama Bin Laden was dead!! What a relief and comfort. With his team and the Navy SEALS, our President has accomplished a major feat. What a symbol of hope!!
And while you may not like Mr. President, I do hope you find time to be thankful for the things he has done in the last week.
